Decorate your front door for the new season that is on the threshold. Take wreaths, twigs, berries, vegetables and fruit you love and start you work! You can choose some more traditional décor like twigs and branches around the door, a wreath and topiaries. Or you may go another way and make something original -- flowers, accessories, decorations; you can hang a basket with autumn apples on your door to treat the guests. If you don't want to hang something on the door itself, just put some cute pumpkins (painted or decorated in another way) or other vegetables on the steps or just near the door. Have a look at some more ideas below and enjoy the fall!

Not only do walkways guide people throughout your yard, they can also be used to create a mood or atmosphere. You'll want to start by determining if you are trying to create a formal or informal feeling. Then you'll need to make a number of important decisions regarding shape, dimensions and materials, which can range from simple gravel to decorative stamped concrete. Other factors to consider inclu...

Pam and Joe came to me a few months ago and told me they wanted to do things a little different when they send out their invitations for their wedding. We brainstormed a few ideas together and knowing they both really enjoyed art, this was the end result. This shoot was one of my favorites ever because everyone involved had a fun day. If we talk about bathrooms, most of us would prefer to have a modern bathroom because aside from being a trend, it is also neat and organized since it use sleek lines and focuses more on function. But aside from modern and contemporary bathrooms, there are also other types of bathrooms that include tropical ones. A tropical theme for a home usually feature plants and some elements that are sometimes nearly Asian or beach-y in style

This inviting garden retreat was carved out of unused space by the side of a driveway. Instead of a blah lawn, the homeowners now have a wildlife refuge in their front yard. Best of all, it dazzles throughout the year. Read on to see what plants peak in what seasons. Then be sure to check out the planting plan. You can duplicate the whole thing, or start with just a small portion. SPRING Vibrant greens and burgundies dominate as new foliage appears on shrubs and grasses. Viburnum offers white flowers in the background while Knock Out roses provide a flush of red closer to the front. Cheerful yellow pansies have returned from fall. They’re joined in bloom by perennials (purple salvia and yellow coreopsis) and annuals (pink petunias and red verbenas). For an even earlier start, consider ...

Life is painful. It's full of doubt and uncertainty. And it ends, in this world anyway, with death. For many, the antidote to this pain has been religion. The appeal is obvious: comforting stories, a clear sense of right and wrong and eternal life as the carrot at the end. Even New Atheists such as Alain De Botton have retrieved some of the comfort traditionally offered by the church. But has the church taken up the easy sell of "ending suffering" and promising answers to unanswerable questions. In contrast to this "Good News," Peter Rollins argues for a radical and initially disturbing Gospel: we can't be satisfied, life is tough, and we don't know the secret.
